Shark! – A Teeth Intensive Sculpting Class with Jeff Ocasio

Out of the depths of masking tape, a shark emerges. Join Jeff for a playful sculpting class where you’ll learn the basic techniques of masking tape sculpture while creating your own free-standing shark with a big toothy grin. Masking tape, paper, wire, and glass marbles will be provided. Finished shark sculptures will measure approximately 5 to 6 inches tall and 9 inches long from teeth to tail. This class welcomes artists of all skill levels, from beginners exploring their creativity to experienced artists looking to experiment with a new medium. Jeff’s relaxed and conversational teaching style encourages individual creativity and playful experimentation. At the end of class, you’ll take home your one-of-a-kind sculpture along with an instructional handout to help you seal and paint your artwork at home using easy-to-find materials. The class begins with a short tour of the artists’ studios inside DAAS CO-OP Gallery and The Union Artist Studios at the Arts & Eats Café.
